Rare and Gorgeous Casas Grande Agate.. These stones are a small fortune. I only have one left. Just amazing lavender color…. Hand made sterling chain, so heavy it’s a piece of beauty all by itself.

Eleanor wearing Casas Grande… It looks so nice on her and she is tiny… a very petite woman size 4.

Elements Unleashed Tomorrow

Made this today…. I love it! The heart is a Jasper Stone…The nail comes from a walk with my daughter out to this old concrete structure on our land. The concrete structure was a wash tank for gravel in the 1920’s. There are still shoots coming of the side of it to load train cars with gravel and the train tracks are still in place beyond the concrete tank (it’s almost 2 stories tall and has 3 or 4 compartments in it so it’s like a building). We found this nail with a lot of other iron relics inside the building and around it. There is a lot shrubs and trees growing around everything so you have to hunt for your treasure!

Tomorrow I am heading to Elements Unleashed…. a boutique in downtown Neenah Wisconsin. I hope we hit it off and have a start to a great new relationship. I hope they will be a new retailer for Wild Prairie Silver Jewelry. I have been wanting to go there for about 10 months! That is what winter is for…making new things and developing new business. Thanks for having me Elements Unleashed. From the looks of the boutique I might leave there with a new wardrobe. They have awesome boots. I love boots.

Crazy Lace Agate Garnets… The stick is free to move, nice unexpected movement and it can’t go anywhere…it’s trapped. Link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/177446446/sterling-silver-crazy-lace-agate-stone?

This is a piece of quartz trapped in a piece of Tourmaline. The stone was great but this is a very unusual piece for me to make. For starters it’s a regular size… a size anyone would love to wear. The chain is 3 cables of sterling silver. I love it and could actually see it on a guy. Link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/177445737/sterling-silver-tourmaline-specimen?

Last but not least… huge oversized cross…. 3.5 inches long x 3 inches wide on an oxidized chain. It looks great long or as a choker. Link: https://www.etsy.com/listing/177455087/sterling-silver-huge-hammered-cross?

Wish me luck tomorrow. I hope it works out great. Would be wonderful to have a friend and store in the Appleton, Fox Valley Area. That is new territory for me and my art shows do well there so I’m crossing my fingers. I will post some pics of the store on my next post. Take care and caution in this freezing cold weather. It’s really getting to be a long cold winter. One like I have never remembered. Some good friends are heading to Tucson right now. I wish I was with them. Maybe next year. Good luck Tammy, Rick and Maggie. Enjoy the sun and stones for me. I miss you all. I can tell you are not is Wisconsin anymore. There’s a little piece of magic missing…

Sticks N Stone

I bought this stone a long time ago. It is a Serpentine stone. I have had it sitting on my bench staring at me. I wasn’t going to buy it because I did not think I could set it in an impressive enough setting for its’ size: the stone is 4.5 inches long, 1 inch wide and 1/2 inch thick. I could not be happier with this piece. It’s larger than my hand. The pieces of handmade chain look like tendrils. I spent about 4  minutes on these pictures so I will have to redo them when I have time. Just wanted to share this necklace before I’m off to class in Door Co for the next few days.

Bummer…Is Summer Over? Last Big Show

Summer is sure seeming to be coming to a close. I love this time of year but it’s hard to see Summer go… Last big show of the year, ArtStreet, Green Bay WI kinda of marks Summer’s end. After that kids go back to school and the leaves start to fall to the ground. The inevitable ‘White Death’ will be to follow (Winter.)

All of the pics are of things I made for the show. They are not posted on Etsy for sale. If you would like to purchase one of them let me know and I will post it for you on Friday morning.

This stone bracelet is a first. I have never made a bracelet with a stone set in it. The stone setting is curved and fits perfectly so the stone does not swing around to the underside of your wrist. The chain is completely handmade. I even rolled out the wire from a poured ingot. It’s a beautiful heavy, sturdy piece of jewelry, like a bracelet needs to be.

The Skull Ring…. I like skulls. I will probably always use skulls in my work. This ring is huge. Picture does not do it justice. The stone was carved just for me and I have a few of them.

Ocean Jasper and Peridot… Great Summer Color!

Roxanne these are your earrings!!!!!!!!! I hope you love your Tammy Rae Glass! It’s awesome!! I am crying because I used my last piece of Tammy Rae Glass today. I’m in luck as I will see her at ArtStreet. She will fix me up with more gorgeous Boro Glass.

That’s it…. See you this weekend #162 corner of Cherry and Adams St. I will take some great pics of the event and the booth. It starts tomorrow at 5pm which is really weird for me not to get up at 4am to set up for a show. Looking forward to it… always great to see good friends.
